Paytons second visit to Kermit!

Payton before she turned into Miss Piggy
She was such a great patient. She even has her hands in her pockets.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

The boys were so excited to see it snowing!

BSU vs FRESNO ST.

BSU vs. FRESNO ST

The fans stormed the field after the game. It was a great game and BSU is undefeated. We just found out that they will be playing in SanDiego in the Poinsettia Bowl on December 23. We took Hailey and her friend Kaidree with us. They were great!! I even forced them to get a picture with Buster the Bronco before the game. What I didn't realize is that he is VERY TALL.

The finishing touches

We had so much help putting our tree up that it went pretty quickly. The three little ones love to see how many they could put on while the older girls loved hearing the stories behind the special ornaments. We had extra help from little David (my nephew). None of us were tall enough to reach the top (including my brother) but....Brian came to the rescue to add the star to the top.

Thanksgiving

Great Thanksgiving! We had my brother David, his girlfriend Summer, his son little Dave, Brians mom Trudy, my mom Mickie, Hannah, Hailey, TJ, Parker, Payton, me and Brian. We had a great time in the kitchen while the kids played games with Grandma Trudy. Hailey and Payton watched a holiday movie. After dinner we set up the Christmas tree and had fun decorating it. Hannah put the lights on with the plug in at the top so she had to take it down and start over. (She wasn't too happy about that) We watched football and all in all....everything was a great success.

Miss Piggy, Deserai, and Kermit (dentist)

Payton had a big day last week. She went to the dentist to have her "new" tooth put in. I explained to her that it was going to be an adventure....and it was. I could tell that she was a bit nervous. We went in and Deserai (her hygenist) was prepping her for the dentist. Well....she was able to have nitrous oxide to relax her. They pulled out what looked like a pig nose and before she put it on....looked at me and said that she was scared. I had to do some quick thinking! I asked her if I have ever lied to her....then I reminded her when we went to the doctor when she had to get shots. I told her then that it was going to hurt but just for a minute. I told her that this was not going to hurt. Then I asked the question.....Do you trust me? She nodded her cute little head with big alligator tears in her eyes. OHHHH....heartbreaking moment. Then....Deserai put numbing "jelly" in her mouth. Then came the dentist. He came in with a mask on and I wasn't sure what his name was. He was dressed in green scrubs so I told Payton that he was Kermit and that she was Miss Piggy and that he was going to get all the sugar bugs out of her teeth. Meanwhile....he gently gave her shots in the mouth. To this hour...she still doesn't know that she had shots....she ended up with 3 because she could feel something during the whole process. We love Kermit now! She can't wait to go back! I really need to find out the dentists name!!
P.S. The dentists real name is Dr. Elkins....a far cry from Kermit!!!

Beautiful Pickles!!!

Are these not the most gorgeous pickles that you have ever seen!?? You see, on a visit to my mother-in-laws home this summer, she taught me to "put up" my own pickles. We went out to her huge garden and picked all of the smaller cucumbers. Then we went to the other side of her garden and Trudy showed me how to cut the right dill. Everything was from her garden and made making these pickles so much sweeter. I can remember how excited I was listening for the tops to "pling". I can not look at store bought pickles the same. They just won't taste like the ones that I made myself. These won't be ready until Christmas but I am so excited to open one up!!!
