Paytons second visit to Kermit!

Payton before she turned into Miss Piggy
She was such a great patient. She even has her hands in her pockets.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

The boys were so excited to see it snowing!
On the way to school.

TJ and Payton built a snowman from what was left when they came home from school.

BSU vs FRESNO ST.

BSU vs. FRESNO ST

The fans stormed the field after the game. It was a great game and BSU is undefeated. We just found out that they will be playing in SanDiego in the Poinsettia Bowl on December 23. We took Hailey and her friend Kaidree with us. They were great!! I even forced them to get a picture with Buster the Bronco before the game. What I didn't realize is that he is VERY TALL.

The finishing touches

We had so much help putting our tree up that it went pretty quickly. The three little ones love to see how many they could put on while the older girls loved hearing the stories behind the special ornaments. We had extra help from little David (my nephew). None of us were tall enough to reach the top (including my brother) but....Brian came to the rescue to add the star to the top.

Thanksgiving

Great Thanksgiving! We had my brother David, his girlfriend Summer, his son little Dave, Brians mom Trudy, my mom Mickie, Hannah, Hailey, TJ, Parker, Payton, me and Brian. We had a great time in the kitchen while the kids played games with Grandma Trudy. Hailey and Payton watched a holiday movie. After dinner we set up the Christmas tree and had fun decorating it. Hannah put the lights on with the plug in at the top so she had to take it down and start over. (She wasn't too happy about that) We watched football and all in all....everything was a great success.

Miss Piggy, Deserai, and Kermit (dentist)

Payton had a big day last week. She went to the dentist to have her "new" tooth put in. I explained to her that it was going to be an adventure....and it was. I could tell that she was a bit nervous. We went in and Deserai (her hygenist) was prepping her for the dentist. Well....she was able to have nitrous oxide to relax her. They pulled out what looked like a pig nose and before she put it on....looked at me and said that she was scared. I had to do some quick thinking! I asked her if I have ever lied to her....then I reminded her when we went to the doctor when she had to get shots. I told her then that it was going to hurt but just for a minute. I told her that this was not going to hurt. Then I asked the question.....Do you trust me? She nodded her cute little head with big alligator tears in her eyes. OHHHH....heartbreaking moment. Then....Deserai put numbing "jelly" in her mouth. Then came the dentist. He came in with a mask on and I wasn't sure what his name was. He was dressed in green scrubs so I told Payton that he was Kermit and that she was Miss Piggy and that he was going to get all the sugar bugs out of her teeth. Meanwhile....he gently gave her shots in the mouth. To this hour...she still doesn't know that she had shots....she ended up with 3 because she could feel something during the whole process. We love Kermit now! She can't wait to go back! I really need to find out the dentists name!!
P.S. The dentists real name is Dr. Elkins....a far cry from Kermit!!!

Beautiful Pickles!!!

Are these not the most gorgeous pickles that you have ever seen!?? You see, on a visit to my mother-in-laws home this summer, she taught me to "put up" my own pickles. We went out to her huge garden and picked all of the smaller cucumbers. Then we went to the other side of her garden and Trudy showed me how to cut the right dill. Everything was from her garden and made making these pickles so much sweeter. I can remember how excited I was listening for the tops to "pling". I can not look at store bought pickles the same. They just won't taste like the ones that I made myself. These won't be ready until Christmas but I am so excited to open one up!!!

The DATE!!!

Hannah has been wanting to go to this holiday dance coming up in December. It is a girl ask guy dance and she was trying to find a creative way of asking this boy named Michael. Well....This is what she came up with. She and her friend, Jimmy Porter, decided to get two rocks. One of the rocks was very small and they wrote the word "yes" on it. The next rock was actually a boulder and had the word "no" on it. She wrote a note to Michael, left it on his doorstep and asked him to bring his anwer to school the next day. To her surprise....he brought more than his answer.
He made this beautiful Treasure chest out of wood with her name engraved in the top. Inside were gold chocolate coins. AWWWWWWWW!! I love you Michael!! I will let you know how the date goes later....stay tuned.

Oh what a night

A few months back my husband surprised me with 3 tickets to go and see Trans Siberian Orchestra. He always buys 3 tickets so that he doesn't have to go. This way I can take a couple of friends and he doesn't have to feel bad about not liking my insane passion for things like Cirque de Soile, Riverdance, Lord of the dance and other amazing performances. I asked a couple of gals that I haven't gotten to catch up with in a while and I was so glad that they wanted to take this adventure with me. So I pick up Lissa Hall and Dana Severts and we were off. We went to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Barbacoa, to have some amazing food. Barbacoa is dimly lit and all three of us found it hard to see the menu (thats our excuse). Dana pulled out her reading glasses only to find that one of her lenses was gone. Reading with one lens is very difficult so we asked our server Casey if he had any spare spectacles. He promptly went to the front and found a pair so that we could order. When we finished we drove out to the Idaho Center. Parking was terrible. I drove around and finally found an "end spot" that I could slide into. We got out in a hurry so that no one could tell me that I couldn't park there. We went in and found we were seated on the floor toward the back. We got there just in time....the concert was beginning. The lady that sat in front of Dana had to been over six feet tall. We didn't know until later that this would be a nice block from the eye blinding lights. I really liked the concert. The music was a bit loud and the lights (because of where we were sitting) were a bit blinding. This is a concert that I am glad that I went to....but I might not do it again. But the one thing that I am grateful for is....the love of my friends! Thanks Lissa and Dana...Love you!

Perfect weather, perfect fun, perfect friends!! Thank you to the Jenkins and the Jones for alot of fun and laughter. After the game we attended the wedding reception for Summer Gropp and her new husband Chad. I wish I had a picture. Summer was beautiful!! We wish them so much happiness. Then it was home to pack Brian up to head to San Diego for a conference. Honey....I miss you already!! Hannah, Hailey and TJ went out to their grandmas house out by Sand Hollow where grandma taught them how to sew quilts by hand. (Hannah actually did the sewing) Hailey read Twilight...all weekend and TJ played. Parker and Payton spent time with their mom for the weekend going to the zoo. Parker told me that he has a new pet....a snake. Ummm....he has to leave it with his mom.....it SO is NOT coming here.

TJ baptism and more

I am really trying to update my blog more often. I love that I can make entries and post photos and send this to family and friends. TJ's baptism was wonderful. I can't believe that he is eight years old. Time goes too fast for these kids. He was baptised on Sept 6th with his cousin Jordan. It was a great day for both boys.
This is TJ and Brian.

How time flies

I can't believe that it is already October. I hope to be better at blogging because I love to read so many others. Kids are in school. Hannah and Hailey just finished drivers trainging...ARGHHH! TJ will be starting basketball soon. Parker is in an art class. Payton will start gymnastics next week. Both boys are in scouts now and the girls have mutual every week. Hailey is on the Timberline dance team and has dance on Tuesday nights. Hannah is in sports med and is the trainer for the JV Soccer team after school. So....as you might see....I have been a bit busy. I feel that I am just now getting down their schedules. Not to mention Brian and I have to have a date night once in awhile. Tonight we are going to the BSU game!!!! Will write more later.

End of June....4th of July...and more

The first picture that you see is Hannah going on her first date. We met Geoff and he is a nice boy. She had a great time! Parker was climbing on a playstructure and the Scout BBQ. He is getting so tall. The next picture is of TJ, Brayden, Parker, Little Parker, Nicole, Payton, Hannah Julia, Taylor, Jordan and Hailey all having some playtime at the park. The next one is at the 4th of July bash down at the Schultz home. We had a blast and the kids were getting instructions from their "drill sgt" on the safety of sliding down the slide. (Although he ended up in the urgent care the next morning...gotta love him). The next pictures are of all of us going to Union, OR with the kids. It is so beautiful there and the kids love going down to the creek to skip rocks.
Hailey is actually drinking from an artisan spring.
